New in this month's newsletter is a new whitepaper on the Calmac.com website: Ice Storage or Chilled Water Storage. Which one is right for the job? Ice Storage and Chilled Water Storage have plenty in common. But what exactly sets them apart. Find out by clicking here.

Energy storage in the news

CALMAC proudly announces that the JCPenney headquarters in Texas reached a milestone of 25 years of energy storage using CALMAC’s IceBank® energy storage technology. This ice storage system not only continues to reduce operating expenses despite changing utility landscape after 25 years but also is one of the world’s largest ice storage systems.

The ice storage system at Renison University College was also in the news. Plumbing+HVAC put the college in the spotlight, explaining how the smaller chiller saved more than enough to pay for the storage equipment  and HPAC magazine (page 66) reported that the ice-based energy storage system exceeded expectations. To learn more about how the system's design flexibility helped accommodate the schools expansion plans, go to Trane.com.
