The demand for more energy only continues to increase, especially as we head into the hottest part of the year in many areas of the country. Summer officially kicked off June 20th, and it seems the heat waves were well aware of the official start this year. Temperatures continue to be above average in the Southwest. The East Coast and Midwest has already broken quite a few temperature records. These record high temperatures will lead to an increase in air-conditioning, and that means a strain on an already maxed out power grid. With AC accounting for almost one-third of the energy cost in commercial buildings how timely then is the topic of utilizing energy storage as a way to meet our future energy consumption needs.
