Come join CALMAC at the ISI/PSA Conference in Las Vegas, NV

June 1, 2016
The Ice Skating Institute and Professional Skaters Association are joining forces once again to present this year's ISI/PSA joint conference. The event is a five-day conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, that runs from May 31 until June 4, 2016.
What to watch for
There will be a lot going on at the ISI/PSA joint conference this year. The events are split between the Planet Hollywood hotel and the Las Vegas Ice Center.
On May 31, the U.S. Open Professional Figure Skating Championships will take place at the SoBe Arena. Transportation will be provided in the form of shuttle buses from Planet Hollywood.
A silent auction will start on Thursday, June 2 and run until June 3 at the Las Vegas Ice Center.
During the same time, the much-anticipated trade show will be taking place and will feature over 45 different companies, ranging from Zamboni providers to ice rink management. CALMAC will be displaying its IceMat rink technology at booth No. 216.
The President's Reception and 2016 Awards Ceremony will also take place during the week, and those wishing to attend must register beforehand.
"CALMAC, maker of the original IceMat, will be at booth No. 216."
CALMAC and the ice rink industry
CALMAC has long been intertwined with the ice rink industry, as a original provider of IceMat skating rinks for permanent and temporary ice skating rinks. CALMAC IceMat skating rinks have been used in world figure Skating Championships as well as backyard rinks. In 2003, IceMat was used in the same arena where Olympic legend and gold-medalist Michelle Kwan won her fifth title.
The event was hosted at the MCI Center. When ice rink administrators learned they needed to set up and dismantle a 200-feet x 85-feet ice rink in two days - the average is 90 days. IceMat was selected because setting up the rink is fast.
IceMat delivered, both in timing and quality. During and after its quick assembly, the United States Figure Skating Association's (USFSA) chief ice rink technicians were put in charge of monitoring the conditions, which were described by the esteemed gentlemen as "perfect."
ISI/PSA conference attendees will be able to talk with CALMAC about the fast, easy installation and affordability of an IceMat ice rink at booth No. 216 on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3. Be sure to register for the event soon, and follow us on Facebook for updates and news.
