CALMAC CEO to Present at the 2013 Energy Efficiency Conference for Long Island Businesses
Mark MacCracken will discuss how ice-based thermal energy storage can lower energy costs in new and retrofit buildings within the region
The 2013 Energy Efficiency Conference for Long Island Businesses is presented by the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA). It brings together local Long Island business owners and will detail how energy efficiency can create a competitive advantage by driving down energy costs. Mark MacCracken will discuss techniques to reduce peak energy demands and cooling costs in commercial buildings by storing inexpensive night-time electricity in the form of ice for use during peak demand hours. He will also highlight real New York City installations that have been able to generate revenue through utility-based incentives.
